Botanical Scapes is a new and unique series published by Harwood King Printmakers with artist Jana Nicole.
The artworks are created from five individual layers of digitally printed clear-cast acrylic and include hand-embellished elements by the artist within the acrylic layers, rendering each piece unique within the limited editions.

This process provides stunning depth to the overall image, creating a totally original three dimensional image to enjoy. Each measures 64cm x 54cm x 6cm and is a limited edition of 20.
These works follow her earlier botanical series that explore the hidden worlds beneath our feet: mosses, mushrooms, fungi and the extraordinary mycelial networks that connect the natural world.

About the artist
US-born, UK-based artist Jana Nicole is renowned for her exuberant mixed-media collages that fuse traditions of papercutting and relief sculpture with the raucous energy of pop art. In 2022 Jana Nicole, she was awarded the highly prestigious Prix Puvis de Chavannes by France’s 160 year old Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts. Awarded for her Botanical Troupe Series, she is the first non-French artist to receive the honour from the society that has included artists such as Toulouse Lautrec and Manet amongst its numbers.
